For motivated high school students, Students of the Year is the leadership development and philanthropy program that ensures they stand out among peers when engaging with colleges and/or future employers. Through guidance and mentoring from experienced professionals at LLS - the non-profit with a track record of innovation and success - they will make a real impact in the fight against blood cancers.
In 2016, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter hosted its first Students of the Year campaign in the Atlanta market. Fifteen outstanding students signed up to participate in the inaugural event, raising over $225,000 for LLS in six short weeks!
Our 2017 campaign is set to kick off on Friday, January 13, 2017 and we are thrilled to announce 36 students have signed on to participate in our second annual event! We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of all of our student candidates at our Grand Finale Gala on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Tickets will go on sale January 13, 2017 depending on availability. Please contact Chantal Coxhead for more information.
