In 2017, 24 candidate teams comprised of 48 student candidates from the National Capital Area competed in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 4th annual Students of the Year (SOY) campaign! The campaign kicked off on January 12th and culminated at the Grand Finale Gala on February 24th. Candidate teams worked hard to raise funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) during this six-week time frame. By the Grand Finale Gala, the student teams had raised an incredible $850,000 for LLS and the mission to cure blood cancers. At the end of the year, the SOY class of 2017 had raised over $870,000!
