We are so excited to announce our 2017 Honored Hero Marissa Jensen! She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when she was 16 years old. She was stage 2, type B and fought for her life. She did both chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Through her strength she continued to go to High School and maintained her activities as a cheerleader and dancer. Marissa is now going on three years cancer free! She is continuing her life working and teaching dance classes. Marissa is a very accomplished dancer and has been an inspiration to all of her students. Although it was a tough battle, she said she wouldn't change a thing. She is a proud survivor! Marissa is grateful for the work of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the many treatments that have been funded that helped save her life.
