Alina was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2014. She started chemotherapy and was released from the hospital only to return the next day due to a blood clot in her leg. After the procedure to clear the clot, Alina was able to come home. Her strength and determination helped her get through the next 9 months of intensive chemotherapy. Maintenance began in August of 2015 and Alina was able to start Kindergarten. While there have been a few bumps in the road, Alina continues to thrive. She loves to sing, dance, and play with her sister Aubrey and younger brother Bryce. Alina and her family are very excited about what the Leukemia & Lymphoma society is doing for those affected by blood cancer and they look forward to joining with LLS in the goal to find a cure.
